【摘要】:IthasbeenagreedtopublishinterpretationsissuedbytheB31CommitteeconcerningB31.1aspartoftheupdateservicetotheCode.Theinterpretationshavebeenassignednumbersinchronologicalorder.EachinterpretationapplieseithertothelatestEditionorAddendaatthetimeofissuanceoftheinterpretationortheEditionorAddendastatedinthereply.SubsequentrevisionstotheCodemayhavesupersededthereply.Therepliesaretakenverbatimfromtheoriginalletters,exceptforafewtypographicalandeditorialcorrectionsmadeforthepurposeofimprovedclarity.Insomeinstances,areviewoftheinterpretationrevealedaneedforcorrectionsofatechnicalnature.Inthesecases,arevisedreplybearingtheoriginalinterpretationnumberwiththesuffixRispresented.Inthecasewhereaninterpretationiscorrectedbyerrata,theoriginalinterpretationnumberwiththesuffixEisused.ASMEproceduresprovideforreconsiderationoftheseinterpretationswhenorifadditionalinformationisavailablewhichtheinquirerbelievesmightaffecttheinterpretation.Further,personsaggrievedbyaninterpretationmayappealtothecognizantASMEcommitteeorsubcommittee.AsstatedintheStatementofPolicyintheCodedocuments,ASMEdoesnot“approve,”“certify,”“rate,”or“endorse”anyitem,construction,proprietarydevice,oractivity.Forthe2007Edition,interpretationswillbeissuedasnecessaryuptotwiceayearuntilthepublicationofthe2010Edition.ThepagenumbersfortheInterpretationsupplementsincludedwithupdatestothe2007EditionstartwithI-1andwillcontinueconsecutivelythroughthelastupdatetothisEdition.
