【摘要】:Continuousfiber-reinforcedceramiccompositesarecandidatematerialsforstructuralapplicationsrequiringhighdegreesofwearandcorrosionresistance,anddamagetoleranceathightemperatures.Sheartestsprovideinformationonthestrengthanddeformationofmaterialsundershearstresses.Thistestmethodmaybeusedformaterialdevelopment,materialcomparison,qualityassurance,characterization,anddesigndatageneration.Forqualitycontrolpurposes,resultsderivedfromstandardizedsheartestspecimensmaybeconsideredindicativeoftheresponseofthematerialfromwhichtheyweretakenforgivenprimaryprocessingconditionsandpost-processingheattreatments.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofshearstrengthofcontinuousfiber-reinforcedceramiccomposites(CFCCs)atambienttemperature.Thetestmethodsaddressedare(1)thecompressionofadouble-notchedtestspecimentodetermineinterlaminarshearstrengthand(2)theIosipescutestmethodtodeterminetheshearstrengthinanyoneofthematerialplanesoflaminatedcomposites.Testspecimenfabricationmethods,testingmodes(loadordisplacementcontrol),testingrates(loadrateordisplacementrate),datacollection,andreportingproceduresareaddressed.1.2Thistestmethodisusedfortestingadvancedceramicorglassmatrixcompositeswithcontinuousfiberreinforcementhavinguni-directional(1-D)orbi-directional(2-D)fiberarchitecture.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddresscompositeswith(3-D)fiberarchitectureordiscontinuousfiber-reinforced,whisker-reinforced,orparticulate-reinforcedceramics.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandardandareinaccordancewith.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specifichazardstatementsaregivenin8.1and8.2.
