【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforassessingthepotentialtoxicityofatestmaterialtothegrowthofaerobicbacteriapresentinactivatedsludge.Theinhibitoryeffectisrestrictedtothosemicroorganismscapableofgrowthonthechosenorganictestmedium.Thismethodgivesinformationoninhibitoryeffectsonthemicroorganismsoverincubationperiodsupto6h.Thismethodisapplicabletowater,wastewaterandchemicalsubstanceswhicharesolubleundertheconditionsofthetest.Specialcareisneededwithvolatileorcolouredmaterialsandmaterialswhichformturbidsuspensionsordispersions.NOTE1Resultswithvolatiletestmaterialshouldbeinterpretedwithcautionandarelikelytounderestimateanyinhibitoryeffectbecauseofthedifficultiesinmaintainingtheinitialconcentrationinthetestflasks.NOTE2Colouredmaterialsandmaterialsoflowwater-solubilitywhichformturbidsuspensionsordispersionscanbetestedinmanycasesusingcolour/turbiditycontrolsasblanks(see9.4).NOTE3Inhibitoryeffectsonactivatedsludgemicroorganismsoftestmaterialsforwhichthistestisnotapplicablecanbedeterminedbyusinganinhibitiontestbasedonrespirometricmeasurements(seeISO8192).
